This 33-story resort is located 16 km (10 mi) from Barra de Tijuca, the newest area of Rio. The Barra features modern architecture, Barra Beach (arguably the best in the city), and BarraShopping, the largest shopping mall in Rio, and one of the largest in South America.
Property amenities include direct beach access, as well as three palm tree-shaded pools (including a children's pool) and two lighted tennis courts overlooking the ocean. Another neat feature of the resort is the daily "Sheratoons" kids program for children ages 4-12. The professionally supervised activities include video and table games, children's theater with costumes, movies, and a sports court.
